Outcome
• This is a rigorous methodological process and technically demanding-time consuming.
• It requires patience and some skill development throughout the process.
• Databases are only as good at the time of accessing the information and skill of
researcher.
• There is the potential for human error in terms of filters and replicability of repeating
searches.
• We are looking for the best evidence available at the time of the search (it will date
quickly!).
• The librarians input was invaluable.
• Google Scholar is very good for initial searching or including in main search.
• Read articles/PhDs of other people who have completed systematic searches in your
