• Half of caregivers rated objectives to have been fully met. but
with noted improvement which could be made in supporting
carers to explore ways to look after themselves and ways to
achieve this.
• Carers found a range of elements most helpful in attending the
programme: shared experiences, group discussions, feeling
accepted and seen for doing their best.
• Carers noted two main factors to be least helpful in attending
the group: lack of time to go through all notes and group
facilitated virtually. In this question Carer's also noted they did
not find anything "least helpful" and felt they connected with
others which at times reduced time for theory to be discussed
more.
• When asked if they had any further comments they wished to
share, Carer's noted: they felt empowered, enjoyed making peer
connections and having the opportunity to share experiences,
they would recommend all Carer's to complete this groupwork
programme and they were thankful for follow-up support and
being understood within the group.
