Welcome to issue 19 of our newsletter. We have a variety of
information and snippets of information included. In this
edition we wanted to bring you a timely update on outcomes
from or recent Research Conference.
On 9th March 2022 we were very pleased to host the 9th Annual Research
Conference as a virtual event. Given the success and the extended reach to
delegates of our first virtual conference in 2021 we were confident that we
could repeat the success for a conference that is always a popular and a
lovely event. The quality of the key note presentations and small group
presenters selected also assured us of this confidence - and all delivered on
the day.
A selection of comments from delegates, is testimony of the value placed on
this conference.
"Research is so important and engagement with people in receipt of
services and finding innovative ways to hear their voices and ensuring
this informs practice is fundamental to social work and social care .This
was a great conference!"
"I really loved the musical aspects"
"As with delegates our speakers represent a wonderful diversity and will
bring a wealth of different experiences drawn from Europe - including
Seville and from the Republic of Ireland and from here in Northern
Ireland."
With over 200 registrants we were delighted that on line event opens up wider
scope and opportunities regarding accessibility albeit we appreciate that
throughout the day delegates were dipping in and out at various times.
