Reminder: Call for papers for Special issue on
Practice Teaching and Learning across Ireland
This special issue of the Journal of Practice Teaching and Learning will provide an opportunity
for practitioners, educators, and researchers to share theoretical papers, innovative practice
and empirical research in practice teaching and learning in social work, nursing and allied
health professions working across the island of Ireland. Abstracts are due by 24th
June

Understanding the pandemic
Professor Peter Huxley is the founding editor of our journal Social Work & Social Sciences
Review and a member of the editorial board. He and colleagues at the University of Bangor are
testing two scales they have developed to explore, firstly the experiences of the pandemic,
second experiences of social restriction.
