The thematic analysis identified six key themes which are then further
developed into 27 subthemes and these are discussed in detail within the
body of the report.
Conclusions and Recommendations
Streamlining of risk assessment models used in safeguarding practice.
Post qualifying framework to include modules on risk at advanced
levels.
Decisions around suitability for services such as Family Group
Conferences, made on an individual basis with consideration of risk
factors such as dependency and tensions within relationships.
Staff training in:
- Safeguarding, in particular, recognising potential cases of domestic
violence.
- The role of 'best interests meetings'.
- Terminology used in safeguarding policy around 'human trafficking'
and 'hate crime'.
