Discussion of Results
There was a strong connection between team development and team
resilience and the need for teams to work collectively for the betterment of
the lives of Looked After Children's population.
The results identified that there are many aspects to developing team
resilience which are strongly linked. There is no single approach that will
promote team resilience but rather a collection of many aspects that need
to work in harmony to assist in the process.
Conclusions and Recommendations
There are a number of recommendations emerging from this from this
study.
Further research needs to be completed on the subject of team
resilience with specific emphasis being placed on the personal
construct of the person entering the residential child care system.
Team development days need to be a regular and ongoing event
within the calendar.
Supervision needs to embrace aspects of clinical and therapeutic
input.
Reflection should become an ongoing experience for the team to assist in
the management of the environment.
