Discussion of Results
Following the independent t-tests, no statistical significance was reported,
but limiting factors such as sample size may have directly impacted on this.
Although limitations of the study existed, such as the drop off rate from the
experimental group, there were strengths to the study such as the cost
effectiveness, time scales, location and recruitment process.
Conclusions and Recommendations
There is a demand for teenagers and young adults specific exercise
programs (48.9% response rate). The improvements to physical fitness,
quality of life and fatigue have translational value into the young people's
real life functions e.g. can walk further, less breathlessness, struggle less
with school and work based activities and many more.
